The temperature is generally mild throughout the year. In July and August temperatures rise up to 35 degrees. Even during the winter the temperature is pleasant : the coldest days are few and are mainly concentrated between December and January (rarely , however, it falls below zero ) . The rainfall are concentrated in November and February.
During the period of the Congress temperatures are mild and the days , thanks to daylight savings time, are longer.



For those arriving from the north, the best way to reach Rome is the A1 Milano - Roma. Coming from the west part of Italy take the Aurelia and then the A12 Civitavecchia - Rome. Those arriving from the Adriatic Coast can get to Rome via the A24 L'Aquila - Rome . From the South take the A1 Napoli - Roma .  All the highways cross the GRA on which there are all the outputs for the center of Rome.


The stations are the main Rome Termini station (Piazza dei Cinquecento) and the Tiburtina station (Piazza della Stazione Tiburtina). Both stations are connected to the subway and many buses to all directions which pass outside the stations themselves. For information on times and cost of train tickets you can connect to the site of Ferrovie dello Stato, where you can also buy your tickets online and pick them up directly on the train.



The main airport is Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) which is about 26 km far from the city center. The city center is easily accessible:

    Fiumicino - Rome
    In the station you can take the airport shuttle train Leonardo Express, which reaches the Termini Station (connection with metro - lines A and B), no stops, in just 31 minutes (starting every half hour - 6:36 pm 23:36 pm). FR1 reaches Tiburtina Station (metro B) in 45 minutes (every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekend, from 5:57 hours to 23:27 hours). The train crosses the line B metro also at the Ostiense Station. The cost of the ticket is 14 Euros.
    Rome - Fiumicino
    To reach Fiumicino Airport from Termini Station, the shuttle leaves from platform 25 every half hour - from 05:52 hours to 22:52 hours. To reach Fiumicino Airport you can take the FR1 from Fara Sabina, every 15 minutes, in one of the stations where intermediate stops (Roma Tiburtina, Rome Tuscolana, Ostiense, Trastevere, Villa Bonelli, Magliana Muratella, Ponte Galleria, Fiera di Roma and Parco Leonardo). Tickets can be purchased at the ticket desks, self service machines, travel agencies. Trenitalia desk is near the train and on Ticket cost: € 8,00 one way.
  2. BUS
    Fiumicino Airport (Terminal 3) - Termini Station (Piazza dei Cinquecento / metro A and B) - Tiburtina Station (metro B)
    Service runs from 01:15 hours to 15:30 daily (last ride at 19.00 in the holidays). Journey time: about 60 minutes. Tickets cost: € 4.50 , available in retail outlets (newsagents, tobacconists, bars) or on board(in this case the ticket is priced € 7.00)

    Bus connection between the Fiumicino Airport and the center of Rome, the bus leaves every thirty minutes, from Fiumicino Airport and also from the town of Fiumicino to Roma Termini, and vice versa. Roma Termini - Fiumicino Airport

  3. TAXI
    Taxi to Rome are located outside the terminal (national and international arrivals ) . The cost of the trip is around 50 Euros .

The other airport is the Giovanni Battista Pastine (Ciampino) , where the majority of charter flights operate: it is about 20 km far from the city and it is well connected to the city center:

  1. Train
    From Ciampino Airport you can reach, with dedicated bus lines , the Ciampino train station , from which trains depart every 15 minutes , reaching Roma Termini Station in 10 minutes (metro A and B). The cost of the train ticket is € 1.30.
    The bus lines that reach the Ciampino Train Station leave from the front of the airport.
  2. Bus
    Roma Termini is also easily accessible by bus , the journey time is about 40 min and the companies that provide this service are:
